Mrs. Victoria Bland Fugate, 86, of Elkhorn, Route 1, daughter of the late Mr. Willis Noel and Mrs. Liza Jane Cox Noel, was born in Taylor County, February 13, 1890. She died at 12:50 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 1977 at Taylor County Hospital where she had been a patient for one day. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. Harlan D. Bland in 1910. He preceded her in death in 1943. She reunited in marriage to Mr. Jim Fugate in 1948. He preceded her in death August 10, 1973. One son preceded her in death, Mr. Delmer Bland on December 2, 1976. She is survived by six daughters: Mrs. Ruth Gilpin of Campbellsville, Mrs. Oplis Baxter and Mrs. Ethil Cox, both of Elkhorn, Route 1, Mrs. Eleanor Wethington of Louisville, Mrs. Floye Fewell of Martinsville, Illinois and Mrs. Cora Combs of Marseilles, Illinois. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one brother: Mr. McKinley Noel of Tulula, Illinois; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Maurice Butler. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
