LOCK HAVEN - "Miss Helen Candor, 96, a guest at the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Jersey Shore, formerly of 220 1/2 W. Church St., Lock Haven, died at 10:30 P.M. Sunday in the nursing center. She was a guest there for three years.
Miss Candor was born in Lock Haven, Feb. 28, 1881, a daughter of the late Joseph and Melissa Curtin Candor.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Lock Haven; the Business and Professional Women's Association and the Rowena Chapter of the Eastern Star.
She was employed at the Troxell Insurance Agency for many years and also worked for the late Senator George Stevenson. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Gilbert Fall, Chestnut Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Helt Funeral Home, 109 W. Church St., Lock Haven. The Rev. Richard Leonard, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Lock Haven, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends are being received in Helt Funeral Home from 9 A.M. Wednesday until time of service."
