Like his father, Francis was an architect in Portland, educated at the University of Oregon. Francis founded the firm Jacobberger and Stanton and also worked with Jacobberger, Stanton, and Zeller, as well as Jacobberger, Franks, and Norman. He was also president of the Oregon chapter of the American Institute of Architects from 1945 to 1946. Photographs of his work are conserved at the Oregon Historical Society.

Father to Mrs. James Morrell and Mrs. Everet Franks, brother of Margaret Liebentritt, Hubert, and Bertrand. Mass was said Tuesday, the 6th of February at St. Thomas More with burial at Mt. Calvary.
