Brenda Lee Kincaid, age 55, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Brenda was born October 3, 1957 in Maury County and was the daughter of Charlie Fuston Baker and Betty Jean Ring Hill, both of whom preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Marshall County High School.

Brenda will be remembered for her strong-willed personality and ability to fight for her health. She had an amazing work ethic and devoted her life to caring for others as a Nurse. She was employed for several years at NHC-Lewisburg where her passion for her profession was displayed toward her patients. When not working, you could hear her "bumping down the road" with her rap-music playing loudly from the car speakers. Outside of work, she had a deep love for family and friends, with her greatest joy being her son, Chuck.

In addition to her son: Chuck of Columbia, she is survived by a sister: Meredith (Steven) Westmoreland of Summertown; aunts: Kathy Pedrick of Columbia, Judy (Bill) Cook of Mt. Pleasant, Clarice Wales of Columbia, Charlene Fowler of Union City, and Judy Ring of Columbia; uncles: David (Denise) Ring and Allen (Carol) Ring, both of Columbia; grandchild: Allyson Jane Kincaid; and special niece and nephew: Kylah and Jack Westmoreland. She is also survived by three step-children: Justin (Becky) Kincaid of Columbia, Jennifer (Brad) Hodge and Crystal (Adam) Bunty, both of the Pottsville Community; and dear friend: Becky Matherly and daughter: Carlie Flatt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Terry Kincaid in April of 2012; grandparents: Mahlon and Elsie Whitley Ring; aunts and uncles: Joe Pedrick, William "Shine" Ring, and Glenda Prince; and cousin: Keith Wales.
