Betty (Mathis) Trent, 86, of Pacolet, died on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at her home.

Born April 14, 1926, in Pacolet Mills, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Maude (Sparks) Mathis and widow of William "Shug" Trent.

A member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, she retired from Kohler after 31 years of service.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Allison Smith (Barry) of Walhalla, SC, Amy Bratton of Pacolet, SC, and David Wynn (Amy) of Laurens, SC; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Martin of Pacolet, SC, and Bobbie Mathis of Georgia.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Beth Wynn; and nine brothers and sisters.

Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, by the Rev. Norman Band. Burial was in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
