Mrs. Burgess was born June 9, 1904 in White County, TN, the daughter of James Harrison Bradley and Margaret Elizabeth Houlett Bradley.
She was a school teacher and member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church of Big Lick.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Bradley of Crossville; daughter, Carol Barker of Nashville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Nellie Rhea of Crossville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Estille Burgess; and son, Billy Lee Burgess.
Pallbearers were Beau Barker, Butch Burgess, Larry Bradley, Oliver Blaylock, Stan Rhea, Pete Bradley, Lynn Tollett and John Barker.
