Mrs. Elizabeth Peters was born in Breathitt County eighty-nine years ago and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emily Kidd, in Madison County, Tuesday, February 9. She was a former resident of Saloma having made a professed faith early in life, joining the Saloma Methodist Church. She was married to Anderson Peters seventy years ago, he having preceded her to the grave twelve years ago. To this union were born eleven sons and six daughters. Those surviving are: Mrs. Emily Kidd, Madison County, Mrs. Laura Wilson, Jackson, Kentucky, Mrs. Dora Isaacs, Kingman, Indiana, Sam Peters, Owsley County, Millard Peters, Laurel, Indiana, Shelby, Arch and Finley Peters, Taylor County. Besides these children, she is survived by forty-two grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 11, at 10:30 o'clock at the Saloma Methodist Church by Rev. M. L. Fudge followed with burial in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers will be John Will Gupton, Henry Hill, Lee Young, J. M. Durham, Cliff Little, and Garnett McKinley.
