He was a member of the New Paltz Board of Education, 1951-1954; New Paltz Fire Department life member, supervisor of the town of New Paltz, 1955-59; president of Federal Land Bank (Ulster County Board) 1940-1968; member of Reformed church of Shawangunk; former member of New Paltz Reformed church; Master of Grange 1028; and the Cornell Cooperative Extension Service for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Madalyln [sic]; two sons, Fred W. DuBois of New Paltz and Edward J. DuBois of Minneapolis, Minn; a brother, Gerald DuBois of Colo.; a sister, Ann Irwin of Greene; two stepdaughters, Diane Hodge of Lexington, Ky. and Linda Hadfield of Bolder, Mont.; a stepson, Robert Dolan of Wallkill; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth Post DuBois and three brothers. Contributions may be made to the Reformed Church of Shawangunk.
