Ada Lyons, 87, a lifelong Poughkeepsie and New Paltz resident, died Tuesday at the Eden Park Nursing Home in Poughkeepsie.
She was a quality inspector at IBM in Poughkeepsie for 18 years and retired in 1970.
Mrs. Lyons was a member of the IBM Retirees Club.
Born in New Paltz on May 24, 1908, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Terwilliger.
She married Thomas Lyons Sr. at the Reformed Church in New Paltz in 1930. He survives at home.
Mrs. Lyons is also survived by a son, Thomas Lyons Jr. of Slate Hill, Orange County; a granddaughter, a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at Parmele Funeral Home Inc. 110 Fulton Ave. Poughkeepsie.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
