Mr. Lindsey Childers of Columbus, Ind., a former citizen of this county, passed away to the great beyond last Sunday. The deceased had been in poor health for sometime, steadily growing weaker until the end came. He was a splendid citizen, and a kind father. He was a devout christian and loved by everybody. His remains were brought here Tuesday night for burial. He is survived by four daughters: Mesdames A. C. Campbell and S. B. Hiestand, of this county, Mrs. Newt Atwell of Louisville, and Miss Mattie Childers of California. To the bereaved children, relatives and friends we extend our sincere sympathy

He was born in Franklin, IN to John Lin Childers and Margaret Jane Sacre. He died of auto intoxication and lagrippe. His mother was from Woodford County, Ky. She was widowed and living in Lexington, Ky in 1910. She and John lived here in 1880.
