Clayton E. Clark, 76, 2709 N. Tillotson Ave., died Sunday afternoon in a hospital at St. Petersburg, Fla., following a brief illness. He was born in Delaware County, the son of McKendre and Elizabeth Jones Clark, and attended Muncie city schools. He was employed at Warner Gear for 44 years prior to his retirement in 1968. He was a member of College Avenue United Methodist Church, Muncie Lodge 433, F and AM, and Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie McKinley Clark, St. Petersburg, and his daughter, Mrs. Julie Kay Barr, New York City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery. Calling hours at the mortuary will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday. The Muncie Lodge will conduct memorial services at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
