Wilma Leoti Fisher died Tuesday, July 12, in Farmington, N. M.
She was a former resident of Jewell and Republic Counties and
the Hardy area.

She was born July 27, 1909, in Jewell County, Kansas, the
daughter of Francis and Jewell Bell Thomas Fisher.

After graduating from Hardy High School, she attended
Wichita Business College.

During the 1930's she taught rural schools in Thomas and
Jewell County.

During World War II she worked for Boeing Aircraft in
Wichita and Lockheed in Los Angeles, Calif.

Later she was employed by the city of Los Angeles in the
Police, Treasury and Bureau of Right of Way and Land
Departments.

Since retiring in 1968, she had lived in Wiliford, Ark., Goleta,
Calif., and Farmington, NM.

She was a member of several Horticultural organizations, the
Audubon Society and Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers,
Hazel and Floyd Fisher: and sisters, Dessie Felch, Ida
Hobson and Blanche Bethke.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.
