Bertram Milton Lewis, Sr. of 200 Newton Road, Hampstead, NC, died Monday afternoon, September 17, 1990, in Cape Fear Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 22, 1924, in Brunswick County, North Carolina, the son of the late William H. and Edna Bryant Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Delco, the Hampstead Lions Club, the American Legion and the Senior Citizens Club of Hampstead.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Geist Lewis of the home; two sons, Bertram M. Lewis Jr. of Bethlehem, PA, and David C. Lewis of Kempton, PA; a brother, Charles A. Lewis of Delco, NC; three siisters, Mrs. Neal A. (Virginia) Lane of Riegelwood, NC, Mrs. Harlan K. (Martha) Reinert of New Cumberland, PA, and Ms. Georgia Morgan of Washington, DC; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 1990, in First Baptist Church of Delco by Rev. Kenneth Reeves and Rev. J.L. Dew.
Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead, at 1 PM.
Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Lewis.
