Mrs. Gertrude Price, age 91, of Lovelady, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Conroe Regional Hospital. She was born May 26, 1922 in Teague and lived in Lovelady most of her lifetime. Mrs. Price was a member of the Lovelady First Baptist Church for the past 37 years. She is survived by daughters, Carlene Lang and husband, Roger of Lovelady and Glenda Heavin of Burleson; grandchildren, Terri Kennedy and husband, Darren of Burleson, Val Heavin and wife, Donna of Burleson, Donnie Hill and wife, Amy of Spring; great-grandchildren, Brandon Kennedy, Riki Heavin, Angela Hill, Daniel Hill and Krista Heavin; great-great-grandson, Cash Aguilar; step-children, Michael Lang, Mark Lang, Katherine Lang and Sheryl Miller; eleven step-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives. Preceded in death by husband, Carl Price; son-in-law, Buddy Heavin; daughter, Bessie Price; brothers Albert and Ray and sister, Helen. Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Price will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lovelady First Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Kleckley and Rev. Scott Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
