Dr. James Milan Peck, born on June 29, 1936, in Addison, MI to Milan H. and Ruth A. (Pfund) Peck, passed away in his home on February 7, 2013. He was married to Alice Klee for 25 years and then married to May Rose for 7 years. Jim lived in Addison his early life where he was a member of Addison United Church. He then lived in Okemos, MI for 40 years where he had a dental practice. In 1954, he graduated from Addison High School and from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1961. Jim was a veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis, serving in the United States Air Force from 1961-1963. For 30 years, Jim was a member of the Okemos Kiwanis Club where he served as past president. He was also a member of the Okemos Community Church, the East Lansing People's Church, the Central Methodist Church of Lansing, as well as a member of the Michigan and Central Michigan district of American Dental Association. Jim had a great love for nature, Northern Michigan, music, and the University of Michigan, but no greater love than the love for his family. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathleen Ruth Peck Probasco Ketchum; and one infant sister. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, MI, with Pastor Kevin M. Duffy officiating. Full Military Rites will be performed by Hannan-Colvin Post #180, American Legion, Hudson, Michigan. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen-Burt Cemetery in Ransom Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan.
