She was born April 27, 1934 in Fedscreek, a community and coal town in Pike County, Kentucky to the late George and Creda (nee Lester) Daugherty.
She married Robert E. Potter and moved to Lorain in 1951. Robert passed away in 1969. Anna Mae raised 7 children and 2 step daughters when she married Ron Ferguson in 1976.
Anna Mae was a hard working woman who devoted her life to taking care of her husband, her children and her home. Her favorite pastimes were reading, cooking boating and garage sales.
Anna Mae is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ronald Ferguson; her seven children, Sandra K. (Steve) Williamson, Linda Faurot, Randy Potter, Hank (Kathy) Potter, Pamela (Ed) Howard, Sharon (Scott) Bricker, and William Saint; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Sadie Dodson.
Besides her parents and her first husband, she was also preceded in death 3 sisters and 5 brothers and a grandchild.
The Ferguson family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 14th at 11:00 am in the funeral center. Mr. Rob Brosky will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
