First black woman elected to represent Georgia House District 94 (now District 134). Vice Chairman of the House Education Committee. Cember of the Children and Youth Special Judiciary Committee and the Intragovernmental Coordination Committee. Secretary of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and Co-Chair of the Women's Legislative Caucus.
