Obituary

Katherine (Kit) Gibson, a former resident of Montgomery, Al, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, February 17th, 2013. A graveside service and memorial service will be held Thursday, February 21st at 3:00 PM CST at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Al.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Vernon Shelley Mortimer, Mother, Martha Seal Mortimer and Brother, Richard Mortimer. She is survived her son and daughter in law, David and Theresa Gibson of Irving, TX.
Kit Gibson was retired from Montgomery Board of Education after serving 21 years, and was a member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her students and volunteered at local hospitals in her spare time.
In lieu of flowers, Ms. Gibson requests that memorial gifts be designated for The American Cancer Society or the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Online condolences may be made at www.leak-mc.com
