Hattie E. Brough, 93, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Nov. 9, 2002 of natural causes.
She was born in Eureka, Utah on September 28, 1909 to Sarah G. and Mathew A. Laird. She lived in Eureka all of her young life. On November 13, 1928 she was married to W. C. Brough in Nephi, Utah and they resumed residency in Eureka. They subsequently had a son, William M. Brough and moved to Salt Lake City in 1942. Hattie worked for the US Government Bureau of Land Management, from which she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as four brothers and one sister. After Mr. Brough's passing, she moved to Litchfield Park, Arizona to be near her son and daughter-in-law.
She is survived by a sister, Deon Brandon of Orem, Utah; a brother, Don Laird of Salt Lake City, Utah and her son, William M. Brough of Litchfield Park, Arizona. In addition, her surviving grandchildren are William J. Brough, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mathew S. Brough of Tempe, AZ, Nicole E. Blaes of San Clemente, CA, and Stephanie S. Brown of Portland, OR; as well as two great-grand children: Lauren and Eric Blaes.
Funeral services will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 12:00 noon in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Drive where friends and family may call from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow at the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
