Billy Dean "Head" Lancaster, 69, of Buffalo, SC, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, after a sudden illness.

Mr. Lancaster was born in Union County on April 17, 1935, a son of Eloise (Gist) Lancaster of Buffalo and the late Freddie Lancaster.

A member of the Bogansville United Methodist Church, Mr. Lancaster was a retired contractor and was formerly employed with Milliken & Company, Excelsior Plant.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Debbie Gallman Youngblood and husband Jim of Woodruff and Nancy L. West and husband Lynn of Buffalo; two sons, Larry D. Lancaster and Richie Lancaster and wife Judi, all of Buffalo; two brothers, Randolph Lancaster and wife Mary Jo of Buffalo and Bruce Lancaster and wife Ann of Union; five grandchildren, Phillip Gallman, Brittany West, Mandy Lancaster, Megan Lancaster and Shane Lancaster, all of Buffalo; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Gallman of Union and Sydney Reich of Buffalo; a very special companion, Joan Salomone of Buffalo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Lawson and Rev. Clayton Price.

Memorials could be made to Bogansville United Methodist Church, 4052 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, SC 29353.
