Mrs. Martha Schnarre died 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, in Joint Township Hospital. She was born Sept 1, 1896, in New Bremen, daughter of John and Mathilda Jung Hilgeman. She was married in 1919 to Vernon F. Schnarre, and he died in 1941. Surviving are two sons, Vernon of St. Marys, and John of Greenville, PA; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Roberta) Oxender of Pioneer and Mrs. Edward (Wilma) Kuenning of Celina; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Wilson Hilgeman of Kalamazoo, Mich. A member of St. Pauls Church and its Women's Guild,she was a retired McBroom School cafeteria worker. Services at St. Pauls United Church of Christ with burial in Elm Grove cemetery.
