Lee Earl Grappe

Funeral services for Lee Earl Grappe of Clarence, were held at 1
p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, in the Church of the Immaculate
Conception, with the Rev. Tony Kerrigan officiating. Burial was
in Memory Lawn Cemetery.

Grappe, 81, died at 5:25 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17, 1984, in
Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport.

He was a retired farmer and cattleman, and was the Marshall of
Clarence for 18 years. He was a Hyams native.

Survivors include seven sons, John L. Grappe of Abilene, Texas,
Douglas W. Grappe of Clarence, Charles L. Grappe, and Fred J.
Grappe, both of Sarepta, Wilson L. Grappe, and Bernard R. Grappe,
both of Haughton, and Thomas E. Grappe of Elm Grove; three
daughters, Mrs. Geneva N. Russell of Many, Mrs. Irene P. Nichols
of Coushatta, and Mrs. Doris F. Foshee of Flora; three sisters,
Mrs. Orella G. Methvin of Orem, Utah, Mrs. Clotile Methvin of
Natchitoches, and Mrs. Ora Schamburger of Lubbock, Texas; 29
grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Leonard Grappe, David Grappe, Charles Grappe
Jr., Michael F. Grappe, Clifton Lindsey, and Bubba Lindsey.
