Tina was a 1981 graduate of Lawrence High School. She had been employed by Northeast Laboratory for many years, Hazels Restaurant as a waitress, Inland Hospital as a pharmacy tech, the China Area Wash and Dry, the Alfond Youth Center and, more recently, was a substitute teacher in Chelsea, Windsor, Jefferson, Liberty and Somerville schools, to name a few. Tina loved to keep busy.
Tina enjoyed camping, reading, and boating with her family. In her younger years she enjoyed gymnastics and dancing. Dancing led her to meet the love of her life and the father of her children. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her three children. Tina was a room mother for her children's schools, a taxi for every sport her children played, a Girl Scout troop leader, a personal coach and tutor, and an overall super-mom. Her passion in life was to teach and to teach children of all abilities. Tina always put others before herself and was loved by all.
She was pre-deceased by her mother, Bernice M. (Roy) Trepanier and a nephew, Asa Fisher.
Mrs. Travis is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joseph H. Travis III, of Palermo; a son, Joseph H. Travis IV, of Palermo; two daughters, Alyssa E. Travis, of Skowhegan, and Kendra L. Travis, of Palermo; her father, Patrick S.J. Trepanier, of Levittown, Penn.; two brothers, Kevin P. Trepanier, of Norridge wock, and Christopher P. Trepanier, of San ford; three sisters, Debbie A. Delano, of Waldoboro, her twin sister, Lisa M. Fisher (the second best twin), of Sabattus, and Doreen B. Mad ore, of Albion, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be held in the spring in Smith Cemetery, Palermo. (Morning Sentinel 2/19/2013)
