Homer, Ill., Dec. 28—(Special.)—The body of Frank Yeazel, Homer native, who was found dead in the garage at his home in Windsor, Essex county, Michigan, on December 26, was removed to the home of his widow’s sister, Mrs. Nell McPherren, where funeral services probably be conducted some time next Tuesday, with Rev. L.S. Ellison, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, in charge. Burial will be made in G. A. R. cemetery. Mr. Yeazel’s death was due to carbon monoxide poisoning. When found, he had been lifeless for about three hours. His body lay in front of the exhaust pipe of his car, the motor of which was still running. One of the rear wheels was jacked up and Mr. Yeazel apparently had been working on it when overcome by the fumes. The decedent, whose parents were among the pioneer settlers of this community, was born 51 years ago on the old Yeazel homestead west of here. He was married to a Miss Trimble, daughter of Mrs. A. M. Fauley, now of Urbana, and she, with a son Charles, in California, and a daughter Dorothy, at home, survives. M. L. Yeazel and C. D. Babb of this place are half brothers.
The son has wired that he will arrive in Champaign at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon and it is to await his arrival that the funeral services are being deferred. (transcribed by Homer Historical Society)
