Roger David Wise age 61 of Elba, Alabama died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery of Elba, AL. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Friday, January 14, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Flowers will be accepted or those who wish to make memorial contributions are ask to do so to the Crenshaw Christian Academy, 608 Country Club Drive, Luverne, Alabama 36049. Roger was a teacher at Crenshaw Christian Academy where he taught math and coached the girls basketball team from 1973 until his retirement in 1993. Serving as pallbearers for the service will be; Kyle Wise, Jerry Griffin, Dwan Hughes, Sam Carnley, and Larry Cooper. Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his father Jack Cleveland Wise, along with his sisters Faye and Kaye Wise.
