Elizabeth was my great great aunt

Elizabeth Preston was the daughter of John and Nanny Waters Preston. She was the third oldest child. Born on July 14, 1837 in England, she traveled to New York with her family arriving on the ship Roscius in 1841.

Update 3-20-2011
I think I may have found what happened to Elizabeth after she became an adult. I'm awaiting confirmation from the person that may have provided a link to Elizabeth after she became an adult. In the 1850 Census Elizabeth was 14 years old, that was the last I was able to track her until now. If my information is correct Elizabeth married Benjamin Hadley on March 2, 1856 in Paterson, New Jersey.
Benjamin was 24 and Elizabeth was 20 when they took their vows.

By the time the 1860 Census was taken Benjamin and Elizabeth were living in West Brandywine, Chester County, Pennsylvania. They had two children, James and Ellen. By the time the 1870 Census was taken Elizabeth and Benjamin were still in Wallace Pennsylvania with six children: James, Mary Ellen, Louisa, Lausatt, Benjamin and Melissa.

The 1880 census shows Benjamin and Elizabeth still in Wallace with several of their children gone. But they remained busy having kids, the 1880 census shows them with Benjamin, Sarah, Charles and William (Willie).

By the time the 1900 census is done, Elizabeth now a widow has moved to Norristown to live with her daughter Mary Ellen Riley and her husband John F. Riley and their children. Elizabeth was 64 years old.

Elizabeth was christened on her birthday at St Chad, Chadkirk, Cheshire, England
