Obituary: The Daily Courier, Connellsville, Pa, Thursday, Apr 21, 1955, pg 2- Mrs Emma O'Donnell, 73, died Wednesday morning at the home of her son, Raymond, at 891 Avon St, Akron, Ohio. Born Oct 11, 1881 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Benjamin Haas. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville. Mrs O'Donnell had resided in Connellsville with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Fred Pilla, on South Eight Street prior to going to Akron.
She leaves three children, Raymond O'Donnell of Akron, Mrs. Camilla Pilla of Connellsville and Miss Gertrude O'Donnell of Akron, OH; a sister, Mrs. Ida Tropf of McKeesport, and a brother, Edward Lee Haas of New Kensington.
A prayer service will be held at the Munk Funeral Home, East Fairview Ave at 8:30 o'clock Saturday morning followed by requiem high mass at 9 o'clock at Immaculate Conception R C Church with Rev Henry Geibel officiating. Interment will be in St Joseph's Cemetery. Members of Court Annunciata No 260 Catholic Daughters of America will recite rosary at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening at the funeral home.
