"Alphonse Phillip Wilde, 89, Freeburg, died Nov. 3, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born May 8, 1912, in Freeburg. He was married June 8, 1937, in Freeburg, to Apollonie Rehagen, who survives in Freeburg. A lifelong resident of Freeburg, he was a farmer and bus driver. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. Other survivors include: four sons, James Wilde and Eugene Wilde, both of Freeburg, and Leroy Wilde and Norbert Wilde, both of Wardsville; one daughter, Arline Laubert, St. Elizabeth; one brother, Raymond Wilde, Koeltztown; three sisters, Margaret Even, Westphalia, and Pauline McClenathan and Theola Noblett, both of Jefferson City; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kordes Funeral Home, Vienna, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Holy Family Parish School." [JCNT, 11/5/2001]
