Born in South Lebanon Township, he was a son of the late Allen and Katie Kurtz Fernsler. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Esther Mae Martin, Lebanon; a son, Adam A, Fernsler, Lebanon; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, David Fernsler, Lebanon; and Alfred Fritz Fernsler, Lebanon; a sister, Edith, wife of Harold Long, Lebanon: and several nieces and nephews.
