WILLIAM PRENDERGAST Sr.
was born in the city of Waterford, Ireland, Feb 2, 1727. He was a son of Thomas and Mary PRENDERGAST. The brothers of THOMAS were, James, Richard and Jeffrey.
William came to America when a youth, and settled in Pawling, Dutchess Co NY., where he married to Mehitable WING, the daughter of Jedediah and Elizabeth (*GIFFORD)WING of Beekman NY, Mehitable was born March 20, 1738. Mr Prendergast died at his residence at Chautauqua Feb 14, 1811. His wife died September 4, 1812. *Both are buried in the old PRENDERGAST Cemetery, (*on the Mayville end of the Stedman Road in the town of Chautauqua) (*as are Williams parents)Their children were;
