08 JUL 2021, Notes for incoming transfer, sighted; added gender. 1) Bio section as written by the original creator of the memorial has been retained, and is below the divider.
08 MAR 2022 SAC to change spelling of last name as on military marker; add information: "This last name was spelled several different ways but "ONTAIYABBI" was the way his family usually spelled it. Several other hints open up with this small change." [Courtesy of Contributor: setson14 (49345390) •] ~Timothy was living in McCurtain Co., OK when he entered the service on Nov. 21, 1945, he was honorably discharged about a year later on Nov. 19, 1946.

He again entered the service on Mar 29, 1948 and was honorably discharged June 27, 1950, only to re-up the next day, June 28, 1950.

I'm not sure what his rank and units were the first two times, only the last:

He was a member of the 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team and was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea.

Corporal Ontayabbi was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
