Capt. (Ret) James Vernon Sartain, 70, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at a local hospice facility. Capt. Sartain retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service. He then worked for security and environmental offices at NSA-PC. Jim was a former City Commissioner of Callaway and a former member of Tyndall Aero Club. His hobbies included flying gliders, painting and playing steel drums.
Capt. Sartain is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Sartain.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 49 years, three children, two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
