Ruby Ann Gandee Rumbaugh, 90, youngest daughter or Charlie and Mae Gandee, passed away on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Clendenin on January 24, 1923. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Lester and Lewis Gandee; sisters, Maysel McCartney and Marie Kelly; and grandsons, James Glenn Rumbaugh and Jason Rumbaugh.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Edwin S. Rumbaugh; her daughter, Phyllis (John) Fenwick of South Charleston, W.Va.; and sons, Glenn Rumbaugh of Waiteville, W.Va. and Steven (Jan) Rumbaugh of South Charleston, W.Va.; her grandchildren, Debbie (Rick) Maas of Zionsville, Ind., David (Carrie) Fenwick of Charleston, W.Va., Vicki (Bobby) Judy of Harman, W.Va., Mikki Rumbaugh of Mechanicsville, Va., and Amy Beth (John) Burdette of Charleston, W.Va.; her great-grandchildren, Henry and Julia Maas, John, Grant, and Abraham Fenwick, Isabelle and Allison Judy, Brandon Peddicord and Chloe, Mason, and Gavin Burdette.

Ruby attended St. Paul's Methodist Church and was a member of the Palm Class. For many years, she was an auxillary vonlunteer serving Thomas Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed bowling with the Fallout League and was a founding member of the Country Club Acres Garden Club. Ruby loved to be outside. She and her husband built their own home when they were young and continued to love working together on many outdoor projects.

Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Bailey-Cobb cemetery, South Charleston.
