Azariah Doss served in the Revoluntionary War during early 1776 to about late 1780, in the 5th and 9th Virginia Regiment. He married Lydia Ayers. Together they captured two British Soldiers and marched them to George Washington's camp. He had a son named for his friend George Washington.
