She lived in Kansas City all her life and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ester and James Taylor, and sister, Bernie Taylor-Schulz; husband, John Paul (Jack) in 1993 and her son, John Wesley in 2003.
She is survived by her children, Karyn Forsythe (Jim), Connie Barnhart (Mark), Teresa Nash (Mike Lynch), Katie Smith (David), Bob Nash (Mary); grandchildren Tim Forsythe (Pan), Jacob Nash (Emily), Jessica Grosz, Ashley Smith, Jack Barnhart, Trenton Nash, Jonathan Nash, and great grandchildren Evee Forsythe and Tristan Maenle. She also leaves many other very dear family and friends.
She had a way of making everyone she touched feel they were special to her. She never knew a stranger and welcomed everyone she met into her family. Next to her family her greatest love was dancing up to the very end. She was a bright light and will be greatly missed.
Services will be at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 1001 E. 52nd St., Kansas City, Missouri 64110 with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 21 and the funeral Mass Tuesday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m.
