Born ca. 1789 in Columbia District, SC. Son of Burrell & Aislie (UNKNOWN) LEE (Sr.). He died after 1880. He married first probably ca. 1836 in Georgia or Alabama, to Mahala "Mahalie" UNKNOWN (ca. 1818 GA-ca. 1853-54), by whom he had at least children. She was probably buried in Muscogee County, perhaps in the part that became Chattahoochee County in 1854. Burrell married second 23 NOV 1856 in Chattahoochee County, Georgia, to Nancy Ann PATE, by whom he had at least eight children.

Married to Mahalia Nelson on 5 Jan 1834. Married second to Nancy Ann Pate 23 Nov 1856 after his first wife's death. Burrell Lee and Mahalia Nelson had a son Harmon L. Lee, who is on findagrave.com. The parents of Burrell are listed as Jordan Lee and Lidia Hodge.
With reference to Burrell & Mahalie's grandson Roman LEE (son of Jefferson LEE): "Roman lives on the land where Burrell and Nancy [second wife] lived. He said the original house burnt and assumed the family Bible was destroyed in the fire. The LEE Family Cemetery is in his front yard. The graves of Burrell, Nancy [sic - she is in Henry Ellen Cemetery, Jefferson County, Alabama] and others are marked with rocks, and he pointed out to me each grave and told me who each unmarked grave was. There are some later LEE graves marked with headstones. // He said it later became a community cemetery in that they allowed others to bury their people there. It is located on Kanasita Road in Prescott, St. Clair County, AL."
