Frederick L. "Fred" Kimbell, 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 19, 2005, of heart disease. He was born March 16, 1934, in Union, Miss., but lived most of his adult life in Las Vegas. Fred was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He is survived by his mother, Francis Smith of Hattiesburg, Miss.; daughters, Ellen and Sheila of Las Vegas; sons, Rich and Bill of Kalispell, Mont.; three grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Williams of Gulfport, Miss. and Becky Lawrence of Las Vegas. Fred will be buried at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. No services are scheduled.
