Slaton Rites Today For Mrs Richardson
Funeral services for Mrs Ella Richardson, 87, were to be conducted at 3 pm today at the First Methodist Church in Slaton.
Presiding was to be the Rev h F Dunn, Amarillo, assisted by the Rev Wayland Dowden, pastor of the Cooper Methodist Church at Woodrow. Burial was to be in Englewood Cemetery in Slaton under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Mrs Richardson died at 1:30 am Wednesday at a Lubbock convalescent home where she had been a patient one day.
She came to Lubbock County 43 years ago from Delta County with her husband, the late T J Richardson who died in June 1944, to a farm near Slaton.
Survivors include four sons, Lewis Richardson of Tulsa, Cecil Richardson of Leesville, La, Clay Richardson of Andrews, and Glen Richardson of Slaton; one daughter, Mrs T M Sansing of Cooper, and 31 grandchildren.
