ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. - William Lloyd Johnston, 87, formerly of Ft. Myers, Fla., died in Anne Arundel County, Md., on Friday, Nov. 5, 1999.
Born in Clearfield on May 2, 1912, he was a son of Clarence Guy and Sarah Elizabeth Lloyd Johnston.
He was associated with CG Johnston Bakery, Harbison Walker Refractories and Basic Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Ft. Myers; a son, William S. Johnston of Pasadena, Md.; a daughter, Sarah, J. Bloom of Indiana; a grandson, CW3 W. Samuel Johnston of Asnbach, Germany.
Also surviving are six granddaughters, Cynthia L. Johnston of Pasadena, Md.; Mrs. Kenneth K. (Debra B.) Kovtun of Madison Heights, Mich.; Mrs. Matthey J. (Susan B.) Carl of Allison Park; Mrs. Terry E. (Joanna B.) Bothel of Marlton, N.J.; Mrs. Gary L. (Carol B.) Harkleroad of Indiana and Mrs. James M. (Sarah Kristine B.) Strauss of Huntingtown, Md.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Ruth Johnston Baebes; five nephews including Walter, William and Van Johnston, all of Clearfield, and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, B. Patricia "Betty" Bannan Johnston; his second wife, Velma Wilson Johnston; three brothers, Orvis, Walter and J. Kenneth; and a sister, Helen J. DuWell.
