By 1940, Valentine and son, Donald, were living on Quimby St. It is unknown where Dessa and Catherine were living at that time. In 1950, Dessa and Valentine both reported being divorced. Dessa is listed as a patient in the Cleveland State Hospital, and Valentine is a lodger at 3306 Easton Ave.
