Amelia Zimmerman was born Sept. 1, 1878, in Somerset Twp., Jackson County, Ill., the daughter of George and Alethia A (Stanton) Zimmerman. Her siblings include Mrs. Carl Graulin, Mrs. Rolla Lanning, Mrs. Oliver Pate, all of East St. Louis; Mrs. R. W. Colyer of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Simon Levy of Murphysboro; and Frank Zimmerman of Cobden.

She and William A. Bilderback were married July 27, 1898, in Jackson County, Ill. She leaves a daughter, Beulah, at home. A daughter, Eva Irene, died July 6, 1901.

Mrs. Bilderback was a home loving woman and a devoted mother. To those in need of sympathy and aid, she always had a comforting word. To her sisters, she took the place of a mother. She was a member of the First Baptist church in Murphysboro.

Amelia died on Oct. 11, 1938, in Murphysboro, Jackson County, Ill.
