GUNTOWN – David V. Wigginton 64, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was an expert auctioneer and real estate broker. He attended Hillcrest Church of Christ. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening, his dogs and reading. Known as "Poppa Wigg," "Poppa," "Uncle Wiggin" and "Big Wigg," he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He was a friend to many and loved by all who knew him.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Waters Funeral Home with Minister Tim Childs officiating. Burial will be in Campbelltown Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jan Gillentine Wigginton of Guntown; one daughter, Jennifer Beth Henderson (Paul) of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Nathaniel Wigginton (Brittany Griffin) of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Jake, Matthew and Nathan Henderson, all of Birmingham, and Skylar Brooke Griffin of Saltillo; and one brother, Grady Wigginton (June) of Guntown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Ara Melson Wigginton.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Waters Funeral Home.
