Funeral services for Raymond Lee Albert, age 62, are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Bethel Union Baptist in Ran, Love County, Oklahoma. Bro. Lawrence Anderson will officiate. Born November 9, 1950, Raymond was the fifth child born to the late Judge and Vernie (Clayton) Albert. He grew up in the Ran Community and attended Marietta schools before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Following two tours in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged. He lived the majority of his life in Love and Carter Counties.
He departed this life Monday, February 4, 2013, while a patient in the Oconnor Hospital in San Jose, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Verna Mae Albert and a brother, Charlie Albert.
