Death at Buxton.

Monday morning, county coroner Pauline was notified by phone that a man had dropped dead in the mines while at work at Buxton, and for him to come. After getting there he found it to be one Jordan Graves, a colored man about 40 years old, and under the circumstances found it advisable to hold an inquest. After impaneling a jury as follows; T. W. Thompson, R. D. Blakey, and W. W. Lee, he proceeded to hold an inquest with the following verdict: "over exertion and heart failure."

Deceased leaves a wife and three children. The company's undertaker took charge of the remains and they were buried in the new cemetery at Buxton. It was the second person to be buried in the new graveyard. The company has a fine new funeral car and team. The deceased was the first to use it.
