Graham E. Beard Obituary

BEARD, GRAHAM E., 73, died at his home in Washington, DC, on December 16, 2012.
Graham was born in Hardinsburg, KY, and later attended the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His pediatric residency training was at the American Academy of Pediatrics.

He served as an Army Colonel and Physician. Upon his military retirement, Dr. Beard extensively and generously gave of his time to volunteer at Food and Friends, the Whitman-Walker Clinic and also to his beloved church, St. John's Episcopal in Lafayette Square.

His parents, George and Wilhelmina Eskridge Beard, preceded him in death.

His only sister, Rebecca Beard Bruner of Louisville; and several cousins survive him.

His many friends throughout the world from his national and international travels will miss him.

Following a memorial service at St. John's Church, he will be interred alongside his parents in Hardinsburg. The precious memories of his full and charitable life will surely linger and sustain those of us who mourn his passing. Rest in peace in the Eternal Arms of God, Graham. You have earned your immortal rewards.
