MARY JAMES of Cherokee Village, formerly of West Memphis, died Monday at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark. Services were at 1 p.m. today at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. Mrs. James, 84, a housewife, was the widow of Coleman Shands and Jim James. She leaves one daughter, Sue Forrester of Cherokee Village; one sister, Margaret Duvall of Tunica, Miss.; three half-sisters, Shirley Booher, Brenda Welch and Louise Johns; two step-sisters, Ester Sairls and Lavada Norris of Marion; one half-brother, William Spears of Jonesboro; one step-brother, Floyd Roberts; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Cancer Aid and Research with VFW of West Memphis Post 5225.
