James E. "Jim" Deither, Jr., 56, of the Sherwood Community, passed away February 9, 2013 at Idabel. He was born October 20, 1956 at De Queen, Arkansas, the son of James Sr., and Virginia Stevens Deither. Jim was a 1974 graduate of Broken Bow High School and had lived in McCurtain County since 1970, moving back here from California. He was an Electrician for Tyson and was also a Contractor. He enjoyed watching ball games and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Leslie Deither and a sister, Darla Brown. Jim and Carmella Newman were united in marriage on September 12, 1975 in the Mt. Herman Community.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 37 years, Carmella Deither of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Julinda Deither of Carthage, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Jaime and Michael Gills of the Sherwood Community; father, James Deither, Sr of the Holly Creek Community; brother, Steve Deither also of the Holly Creek Community; grandchildren, Jayson, Aaron, Kayelyn, Carson, Sean, Jazmyne, Kaydence, Meredyth and Ethan; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 10am at Bunch-Singleton Chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Cemetery.
