Ann DeVries, the daughter of Jake and Ida (Vaas) DeVries was born at Sanborn IA on April 22, 1909.She lived her youth in the Sanborn community and attended Sanborn Christian School.
On Aug. 13, 1929 she was united in marriage to Frank Klynsma at Hospers, IA. Following their marriage, Frank and Ann lived in Sanborn for 8 years where Frank taught school. They then moved to Denver, Co for 13 years, they spent 9 years at Peoria, IA and then moved to Hospers, IA. They retired and moved to Sanborn in April of 1978. Ann passed away at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, IA on June 3, 1989.
She is survived by her husband, Frank,of Sanborn; one daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Marcia) Vander Griend of Visalia, CA; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Tim, Randy, Penny, and Holly and 2 great grandchildren Tyler and Ross.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, John and Dewey, and 3 sisters, Bessie, Minnie, and Martha.
Ann was a member of the Sanborn Christian Ref Church and Ladies Aid.
