OBITUARY
Gwendolyn A. (Martin) Bailey, 88, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Hancock Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Morristown.
She was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Indianapolis. Her parents were Alva and Emma (Doty) Martin. Survivors include two daughters, Susan M. Valentine of Fairland and Beverly A. Roberts of Newton, N.C.; two sisters, Viola Lotz of Fairland and Grace Kemper of Indianapolis; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva I. Lyons, formerly of Greenwood; and two half-brothers, Ernest and Lawrence Sanders.
She was employed for 38 years by UniRoyal as a tire builder, retiring in the 1960s.
She was a member of Pleasant View Senior Citizens Center in Pleasant View.
The Rev. Donald E. Crismon will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Friday at Stirling-Gerber Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Glenns Valley.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Awareness Association of Central Indiana Inc. or American Diabetes Association.
