MARRIAGES
Rebecca J. Capps (nee Rebecca Jane Hinton) and Pleasant C. Whitaker was married
November the 9th 1841
DEATHS
Pleasant C. Whitaker died the 27 day of December 1859 of being wounded

Both family members and slaves were buried in a cemetery on the Whitaker Plantation in Falls County, Texas. In the 1950’s, descendants did not remember the cemetery’s location or know if there were engraved markers. It is thought that the area eventually returned to farm land with no trace of the graves remaining. Michael Edd Bonner, great-great-grandson of Pleasant Clarke Whitaker. 10 February 2013
